Our Van Life Experience With Gap 360 !
Starry skies, blazing sunsets and the open road - The ultimate American road trip.
Where do we start with our 2 week experience courtesy of Gap 360. Firstly, this trip would not have been possible without our cozy and reliable Kuga Campervan. This van is perfect for 2-3 people, and allows you to experience travelling in a different way, providing flexibility, freedom, accommodation and comfort all in one compact, yet homely space.
We partnered with Gap 360 to explore the best parts of the upper West Coast, picking her up in San Francisco and heading up north to explore the Oregon Coast, and then hitting the big cities such as Seattle, and Portland, not to mention the breathtaking Lake Tahoe and eventually finishing back in San Fran !
The Van -
The van itself is perfect for a couple, or a group of 3. It’s compact, but offers all the essentials such as a gab hob, fridge, microwave, sink, bedding and utensils. It also offers solar panels on the roof, which is perfect for when you don’t find a RV Park with a hook up area. The van was a perfect space to unwind and relax after a busy day of driving and sight seeing.
We loved the freedom of being able to find a beautiful spot to park up, and watch the sunset with a cup of tea in hand, or to be able to toast some marshmallows !
Luckily, Gap 360 also offered us a free camping app, which helped us to pick the best spots that offered amenities such as laundry facilities, hot showers and a hook up.
If your ever heading to Bandon, we’d recommend Bandon RV Park. For Cape Kiwanda we would highly recommend Harts Camp Airstream RV Park, it was amazing, right across from the beach, with great facilities, plus they had wild bunnies roaming the park !!
Having unlimited mileage, enabled us to explore the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwestat our own pace. For our route we explored San Francisco, Bandon, Cannon Beach, Cape Kiwanda, Seattle, Portland, Multnomah Falls, and Lake Tahoe. The freedom of the open road was so liberating and refreshing, and was a first time experience for us. Getting to do it with the help of Gap 360, and our little Kuga was the perfect way to get around, and a definite must if you plan on travelling the USA.
